Who We Are
Founded in August of 2003, the Kanawha Valley Ringers is an auditioned community handbell ensemble based in Charleston, W. Va. KVR was organized to offer musicians the opportunity to ring some of the finest compositions in handbell literature from all genres of music. Many of our members ring in church handbell groups that are often limited to only sacred music. KVR is one of only two auditioned community handbell ensembles in the state. The group performs annual holiday and spring concerts as well as for community-based and church dinners, meetings, and even weddings. In 2007, the group was honored to present the opening concert for Area V of the former American Guild of English Handbell Ringers, Inc. KVR has participated in Symphony Sunday as well as playing for the annual "Lighting of the Holiday Lights" at the State Capitol of West Virginia.
